Front-of-House Service Specialist

Core Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests at counters and buffet stations to provide friendly and efficient service.

  • Record customer orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen team.

  • Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting various fruits and vegetables.

  • Manage food portions and professionally wrap items for storage or display.

  • Carefully package take-out orders to ensure they are secure and ready for transport.

  • Maintain the presentation and stock levels of refrigerators, salad bars, and display cases.

  • Support overall kitchen hygiene by organizing workstations and ensuring ingredients are rotated.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 to 7 months of practical experience in a kitchen or customer service setting.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-based, high-volume environment.

  • Strong commitment to food safety and personal hygiene standards.

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.

  • Ability to follow specific instructions regarding food portions and preparation techniques.

Screening and Eligibility

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Must be willing to relocate for this specific position if not currently local.

  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.

Working Conditions and Suitability

  • High level of physical stamina to manage shifts involving standing and manual tasks.

  • Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.

  • Adaptable to a variety of kitchen duties ranging from food prep to front-of-house service.

  • Detail-oriented approach to portion control and food packaging.
