Job Purpose
The Lead – Systems & Solutions is responsible for spearheading new system implementations with a focus on sustainable, detailed execution and long-term operational success. You will manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders to address evolving business requirements, representing the charging domain in strategic initiatives.
From overseeing high-priority module deployments to managing disaster recovery and daily system fixes, this role ensures swift, optimal outcomes. You will drive modernization, maintain an optimal IT blueprint, and work with vendors to implement patches with zero business impact, all while ensuring robust BSS ecosystem security and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Service Delivery
Feasibility & Launch: Lead end-to-end feasibility checks for new products and services with a focus on charging aspects.
Tariff Management: Implement tariffs and products across all Business Units (BUs) within agreed SLAs to drive revenue and customer experience.
Lifecycle Management: Manage the product launch lifecycle, ensuring all approvals, documentation, and security protocols are met for audit compliance.
Strategic System Leadership
Implementation: Lead new system rollouts with a focus on both immediate execution and long-term operational stability.
Project Management: Oversee core rating and charging projects, defining scope, architecture, and resourcing to ensure on-time delivery.
Blueprint Optimization: Maintain and upgrade the IT blueprint to achieve 99.9999% uptime through modern technology adaptations.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
Issue Resolution: Act swiftly on system issues and peripheral application errors to prevent recurrence.
Monitoring: Develop and manage scripts for proactive monitoring, aligning with new service launches to minimize interruptions.
Modernization: Adopt cutting-edge technologies—including RPA, AI, Cloud, and Containerization—to optimize resources and scaling.
Team & Stakeholder Management
Consultancy: Provide technical and management expertise to other units to drive operational excellence.
Capability Building: Arrange knowledge-sharing sessions and coordinate with HR for staff training to keep the division ahead of industry trends.
The Person: Entry Requirements
Education & Experience
Academic Background: BSc Degree, BCS Professional Graduate Diploma, or a related Master’s Degree.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
Technical Competencies
Telecom Knowledge: Solid understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
Charging Expertise: Thorough understanding of charging systems, rating concepts, and quota implementations across Mobile, DTV, Fixed, and Broadband.
Software Mastery: Sound knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and current C1 system blueprints.
Ecosystem Awareness: Familiarity with network architecture, billing ecosystems, and business strategies.
Skills & Mindset
Ability to implement and manage high-priority modules under pressure.
Knowledge of emerging IT trends and their practical application in a telecom environment.
Strong focus on security governance and group security guidelines.
