Job Details
Employer: ComForCare Home Care (Toronto Central Franchise).
Location: Downtown Toronto (with a specific Midtown Saturday shift).
Status: Full-time (Casual/Future openings for Days, Nights, and Weekends).
Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
Unique Requirement: Saturday shifts (5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) include dog walking.
Language Assets: Ability to speak Tagalog or Cebuano is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities: The “Household & Wellness” Cycle
You act as a “Household Manager,” ensuring the client’s environment is as healthy and organized as their physical person.
Medication Services: Assist with critical medication reminders for clients who self-administer, ensuring adherence to health protocols.
Household Management: Perform essential homemaking activities, including vacuuming, mopping, laundry, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms.
Respite & Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship while offering necessary respite services for the client’s family members.
Pet Care (Midtown): Provide exercise and outdoor time for the client’s dog during specific weekend shifts.
Care Plan Execution: Follow a strictly established plan of care to ensure the client can remain safely and comfortably in their residence.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
The “Mature Professional”: A caregiver who brings life experience and a steady, reliable presence to the home.
Communicative Wit: Full proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to document care and interact with family members.
Qualified Grit: Must possess a valid CPR certification and a Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
