This role requires the “wit” to provide specialized therapeutic care and the “grit” to maintain a consistent, daily morning routine seven days a week. Status: Part-time (20 to 30 hours per week).
Schedule: Monday to Sunday (Mornings); weekend days included.
Type: Live-out.
Start Date: Immediate.

You are the primary catalyst for the client’s daily comfort and physical health.

Environmental Hygiene: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the client’s immediate environment to ensure a safe and healthy living space.
Morning Routine Support: Assist the client with waking, grooming, and initial daily activities to start their day with dignity.
Companionship & Warmth: Provide a consistent presence of “emotional wit,” engaging with the client to foster a sense of security and belonging.

Technical Insights: Therapeutic Touch & Senior Safety
Providing “Therapeutic Touch” in a senior care context requires an understanding of aging skin and sensory needs.
Therapeutic Touch (TT) Protocols: You will use non-invasive, light-touch techniques. For seniors, this often focuses on the hands, arms, and shoulders to lower cortisol levels and improve circulation.
Environmental Sanitization: You must understand the difference between “cleaning” and “sanitizing,” especially in areas where the client eats or receives personal care.
Mobility Safety: Since you will be working mornings, you must be proficient in “Safe Transfer” techniques from the bed to a chair, ensuring the client’s hip and back are supported.
Skin Integrity Checks: During touch therapy and grooming, you act as the first line of defense in identifying skin redness or pressure sores, which are critical to report early.
Why Join This Family?
This role offers a unique opportunity for those who prefer the personal connection of a one-on-one private home setting.
Consistent Hours: Secure a steady 20–30 hours per week with a predictable morning schedule that leaves your afternoons free.
Immediate Income: Perfect for those ready to start working “ASAP” without the long onboarding delays often found in large institutions.
No Vehicle Necessary: The “Live-Out” nature and lack of a driving requirement make this highly accessible for those utilizing Toronto’s transit system.
Meaningful Connection: Work in a “Welcoming Home” where your individual contributions to the client’s quality of life are seen and appreciated daily by the family.

Confidential Company (Job Posting)
Company & Location
When you see a job listed as “Confidential“ in Toronto, ON, it means the employer has intentionally chosen to remain anonymous during the initial phase of the recruitment process. These postings are common in Toronto’s competitive corporate and tech sectors, as well as in specialized fields like healthcare (e.g., University Health Network or Sunnybrook) and high-end private households. While the specific office could be anywhere from the Financial District to North York, the “Confidential” tag is a strategic choice often used by recruiters or HR departments to manage high-stakes hiring without public disclosure.
Why Companies Post Confidentially There are several standard professional reasons for this practice in the Ontario market:
Strategic Growth: A company might be expanding into a new service line or territory and doesn’t want to tip off competitors.
Replacement Search: The employer may be looking for a successor for a role that is not yet vacant, allowing for a smooth transition without internal disruption.
Volume Management: High-profile Toronto firms (the “Big Five” banks, major retailers, or tech giants) sometimes hide their names to avoid being overwhelmed by thousands of general inquiries and “fan” applications.
Privacy for Executives: For leadership roles, confidentiality protects the stock price and market confidence during a transition.
Culture
The culture of a confidential hiring process is one of discretion, professionalism, and high-trust.
Bilateral Privacy: Just as the company remains anonymous, they often treat your candidacy with a higher level of secrecy, which is beneficial if you are currently employed elsewhere in the GTA.
Value-Driven Matching: Because you don’t know the brand name upfront, the initial conversations focus strictly on skills, career goals, and cultural alignment rather than “brand prestige.”
Recruiter-Led Experience: These roles are frequently managed by third-party headhunters or specialized boutique agencies. This means the early “work culture” you experience will be high-touch and consultative; they will typically reveal the company name only after you’ve been vetted and a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) or initial interest is established.
