This Group Financial Accounting & Reporting role focuses on driving technical excellence and ensuring compliance with SLAS/SLFRS standards. The successful candidate will lead the monthly closing process, approving journal entries and managing expense provisions while performing in-depth variance and trend analysis for senior management.
Key responsibilities include overseeing General Ledger integrity, managing balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing comprehensive quarterly and annual statutory financial statements. The role acts as a primary liaison for auditors, resolving complex accounting issues and finalizing management letters. Beyond reporting, the position involves supporting business expansion, advising on tax hearings, and implementing cost-reduction strategies through detailed financial data analysis.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Finance and is partially or fully qualified in CASL, ACCA, or CIMA. Required experience includes 5–6 years in the audit or mercantile sector, with a background in a Big 4 audit firm considered a distinct advantage.
