Job Purpose
The Lead – Civil Infrastructure is responsible for the design, stability, and maintenance of all civil structures within the Infrastructure Planning & Development division. This role ensures the timely, cost-effective delivery of technical projects while providing expert guidance on civil procurements and budget utilization. You will also focus on fostering local and foreign business partnerships to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Integrity & Maintenance
Infrastructure Stability: Ensure the continuous stability of all existing network structures.
Inspections: Conduct routine, periodic, and issue-based site visits to maintain structural health.
MTU Planning: Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of Mobile Tool Unit (MTU) maintenance.
Longevity: Guarantee high-quality results for all maintenance activities in line with the Scope of Work (SOW).
Design & Innovation
Technical Verification: Verify designs for new towers, foundations, and support infrastructure.
Cost-Effective Solutions: Provide innovative, economical designs for infrastructure upgrades and Core site requirements.
Modernization: Propose new technologies and materials to improve maintenance efficiency and structural life.
Risk Management: Monitor tower loading and structural conditions to mitigate risks and ensure network sustainability.
Financial & Material Governance
Budget Management: Meet PO and GR targets as agreed with Finance; provide technical guidance for contract management and renewals.
Inventory Control: Manage material net additions and removals, ensuring proper inventory closure and governance.
Resource Optimization: Evaluate vendor price proposals and maintain records of excess materials for reuse or scrap segregation.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Support
Compliance: Provide necessary technical data and solutions for TRC (Telecommunications Regulatory Commission) submissions.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with overall group technical programs.
The Person: Entry Requirements
Education & Experience
Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in telecommunications infrastructure development.
Technical Competencies
Steel Infrastructure: Specialized knowledge in steel structural development and civil design.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex civil engineering projects from design to delivery.
Structural Analysis: Strong understanding of design factors affecting tower stability and load-bearing capacities.
Procurement Savvy: Experience in evaluating vendor proposals and managing technical contracts.
