Job Summary The Caregiver/Healthcare Support Assistant is responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centered care across residential, nursing, and home-care settings. Job Responsibilities
Personal Care: Assist patients with essential daily tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and continence management.
Mobility Support: Facilitate safe moving and handling of patients using approved medical equipment and techniques.
Nutritional Assistance: Help with meal preparation, feeding, and the meticulous monitoring of food and fluid intake.
Clinical Observation: Monitor patients for changes in health or behavior and provide timely reports to the supervising nurse.
Emotional Engagement: Provide companionship and social interaction to promote mental health and prevent patient isolation.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely care records and documentation.
Environment Maintenance: Support basic household tasks such as laundry and cleaning to ensure a safe, sanitary care environment.
Compliance: Strictly follow individualized care plans, infection control standards, and safeguarding procedures.
Requirements
Certification: Possession of a Care Certificate (or a willingness to obtain one immediately upon hire).
