Company & Location
Qualicare Inc. is a premier home health care organization headquartered in Toronto, ON, with its corporate support centre located in the North York district. Founded in 2001 by Wayne and Andrea Nathanson, the company has grown from a local family-run business into a North American franchise network. In the Greater Toronto Area, Qualicare operates multiple specialized hubs—including Qualicare Toronto Central and Qualicare North York—providing a comprehensive “360° Approach” to care that navigates the complexities of the Ontario healthcare system, from hospital-to-home transitions to long-term complex medical support.
Culture
The culture at Qualicare is defined by the “360° Care” philosophy, which asserts that “quality care must support the whole family, not just the patient.” Driven by a mission to provide accountability, advocacy, and compassion, the workplace is a high-trust, nurse-led environment. Unlike traditional agencies, every care plan is managed by a Personal Care Manager (RN or RPN), fostering a culture of clinical excellence and “peace of mind.” The atmosphere is deeply collaborative and “people-first,” prioritizing the emotional well-being of caregivers while maintaining rigorous standards for medical administration and palliative support. This creates a supportive, professional setting focused on dignified aging and holistic family advocacy.
