JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To perform high-quality repair and maintenance on customer vehicles using approved manufacturer techniques to ensure safety and peak performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

  • Gather job orders along with the right tools and equipment to complete vehicle repairs following official manufacturer guidelines.

  • Focus on accurate fault diagnosis and manage your time effectively; alert your Team Leader quickly if parts shortages or other issues cause delays.

  • Confirm all extra repairs are authorized and parts are logged; return warranty parts in their original boxes for auditing or place old retail parts in the vehicle (safely tucked away from interiors).

  • Look after your personal tools, keep your lift and bay sparkling clean, and always follow health and safety rules.

  • Stay ahead of the curve by completing web-based modules and attending hands-on classroom training sessions.

  • Keep your toolset secure and immediately report any breakages or accidents to your Supervisor or the tool room for a replacement.

  • Maintain a high level of performance, aiming to keep your individual efficiency and productivity above 100%.

  • Log your time accurately in the system and provide clear, professional write-ups on every repair order.

  • Return any unused parts to storage correctly and ensure all used materials are disposed of in an eco-friendly way.

  • Be ready to put in extra hours when needed to finish a job and ensure our customers drive away happy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification and Continued Education

  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering.

  • ITI (2-year vocational course) — Certified Auto Technician qualification.

Years of Experience

  • Diploma Holders: 2 to 3 years of hands-on technician experience.

  • ITI Holders: 3 to 5 years of hands-on technician experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Certified Auto Technician training or a vocational automobile course background.

  • Strong mechanical foundation paired with basic electrical knowledge.

  • Sharp troubleshooting skills and a natural talent for solving technical puzzles.

  • Prior experience attending official technical courses hosted by vehicle manufacturers.
