The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for certifying work and supervising staff to ensure all repairs meet strict airworthiness standards. This involves organizing resources for timely maintenance, providing technical guidance to technicians, and enforcing adherence to company regulations and safety protocols. Maintaining a safe, orderly hangar environment and reporting all airworthiness matters to the Shift Leader are critical components of the role.
Operational efficiency is managed through the oversight of serviceable, calibrated tooling and up-to-date technical publications. The engineer must actively promote Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring all incidents are recorded and defects—such as ADD/MDD items—are rectified within stipulated timeframes. Before an aircraft is released for service, they must verify that all documentation is accurately cleared in accordance with approved procedures.
Qualified candidates must hold a high school diploma or degree alongside a valid B1.1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance License. Requirements include five years of maintenance experience, featuring three years of certifying authority. Specifically, two years of certifying experience on Airbus A320 (CFM56/NEO) aircraft at Level 3 is mandatory to satisfy Salam Air’s operational and regulatory standards.
