Function Summary

The objective of this role is to facilitate the evaluation, critique, and implementation of urban planning assignments at both the localized and regional scales. The incumbent will deliver optimized planning strategies that satisfy both regulatory standards and corporate objectives.

Core Accountabilities

Evaluate, process, and pitch Value Added Services (VAS) applications regarding floor area increases, land-use modifications, building height adjustments, and plot restructuring across the group’s holdings. Liaise with infrastructure teams and relevant parties to gather technical feedback for executive review.
Maintain rigorous daily tracking and status updates for VAS workflows, ensuring all internal milestones are met according to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Guarantee the accuracy and readiness of all technical documentation and Development Control Regulations (DCRs) for official submission.
Track modifications to master plans and maintain current Land Use Budget (LUB) records, development metrics, and demographic projection databases.
Assist leadership by drafting technical analyses and detailed reports that offer data-driven recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Examine and determine the appropriate allocation and provision of community amenities.
Contribute to the reconfiguration of plots and master planning updates to improve development potential while containing costs, including the review of architectural test fits.
Validate master plan data across various formats—including GIS, CAD, and external consultant datasets—to ensure adherence to municipal standards regarding GFA distribution and planning criteria.

Candidate Specifications

University degree (Bachelor’s) specializing in Urban Planning or a parallel discipline.
Practical experience within the GCC, possessing a deep grasp of international and regional planning trends and local regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated ability in feasibility assessment, academic research, multi-team coordination, and formal reporting.
A minimum of 7 to 10 years of total professional tenure.
At least 5 years of specialized experience gained specifically within the Dubai market.
Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of urban planning conventions and technical standards.
Expertise in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, and related spatial planning tools.
High levels of professional conduct, refined presentation abilities, and strong project oversight skills.
