Job Summary: IT Support Engineer I (Operations Technology Solutions)

Are you a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working at the intersection of complex infrastructure and real-world logistics? Amazon’s Operations Technology Solutions team is looking for an IT Support Engineer I to ensure our global fulfillment network remains online and efficient. In this role, you will be the technical expert on the ground, implementing solutions and providing high-quality support for the hardware and systems that deliver the “Amazon Smile” to millions of customers.

Requirements and Skills

  • High school or equivalent diploma

  • 2+ years of professional experience

  • 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment experience

  • 2+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience

  • 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience

  • 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience

  • Fluent in Cisco/networking and either Linux and/or Microsoft

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Preferred)

  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware, or AWS certifications (Preferred)

  • Experience in data center environments (Preferred)

The Role

As an IT Support Engineer I, you serve as the primary guardian of our facility’s digital heartbeat. You will manage network engineering tasks, data cabling, and systems administration across diverse hardware environments to ensure zero downtime during critical production hours. This position empowers you to move beyond standard operating procedures to solve unique technical hurdles and lead local IT projects that drive continuous improvement.

Your day-to-day will involve identifying the root causes of operational inefficiencies and providing hands-on assistance to both local and remote customers. Because Amazon Operations is a physical environment, you should be prepared to be active—walking during 12-hour shifts and occasionally lifting up to 49lbs—as you travel within your region to maintain the infrastructure that powers our global success.

Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $41.00 USD (plus sign-on and RSUs)

Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare from Day 1, 401(k) matching, 20 weeks parental leave, and a casual dress code.
