Floor Security Assistant – NYC (East Village)

Job Duties

• Maintain a consistent and vigilant presence on the sales floor to ensure a safe environment for all customers and staff.

• Provide proactive unarmed surveillance to identify and deter potential theft or loss.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting visitors and acting as a helpful point of contact.

• Assist with loss prevention strategies to protect merchandise during high-traffic buying, selling, and trading periods.

• Maintain the aesthetic of the store by keeping the sales floor clean, tidy, and organized.

• Execute special security-related projects as assigned by the management team.

• Collaborate with the retail team to foster a high-energy, high-productivity work atmosphere.

Requirements

• Think on your feet and respond quickly to safety or security concerns in a high-energy environment.

• Demonstrate high attention to detail while multitasking on a busy retail floor.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with a diverse range of customers and teammates.

• Monitor the sales floor continuously without the need for a traditional desk-based setting.

• Participate in team efforts to maintain store safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in loss prevention or floor surveillance is highly preferred.

• Proven ability to provide top-notch customer service in a retail setting.

• Background in unarmed security or surveillance is considered an asset.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a “people person” mentality.
