Role Objective
The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all greenery maintenance and enhancement projects within designated DHCM communities. Your primary mission is to ensure that the aesthetic quality, functional utility, and environmental sustainability of these landscapes consistently meet the organization’s premier standards. This role requires active management of both internal landscape teams and external contractors, ensuring that every square meter of communal space adheres to DHCM’s strict regulations and horticultural best practices.
Key Accountabilities & Tasks
In this position, your responsibilities are centered around the following core functions:
Team & Contractor Oversight
Direct the daily operations of landscape maintenance staff, including task allocation and quality control.
Manage external service providers to ensure they fulfill their contractual obligations, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Provide expert technical guidance on horticultural methods and problem-solving to all field personnel.
Operational Execution
Execute comprehensive maintenance schedules, covering lawn care, shrub pruning, and tree trimming.
Monitor irrigation systems and oversee fertilization, weed removal, and pest control programs.
Manage seasonal planting cycles and ensure all landscape debris is cleared promptly.
Assist in the management of equipment and materials, ensuring efficient use and proper maintenance.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Perform regular site audits to identify maintenance requirements and potential areas for beautification.
Ensure all activities align with UAE health, safety, and environmental laws as well as internal DHCM policies.
Monitor service quality across the board to confirm compliance with corporate guidelines.
Communication & Administration
Act as the professional point of contact for resident inquiries or landscape-related complaints.
Generate detailed reports regarding landscape conditions, completed projects, and future recommendations.
Support the Landscape Manager in developing annual maintenance budgets and identifying efficiency improvements.
Champion sustainable practices, such as water conservation and the use of eco-friendly materials.
Criteria for Selection
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following professional background:
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Agriculture, or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 5–6 years of progressive experience in landscape supervision, ideally within a UAE-based community or facilities management environment.
Comprehensive technical knowledge of regional plant species, irrigation technology, and integrated pest management.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and hold contractors accountable.
High proficiency in English (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Solid organizational abilities with a knack for prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
Basic IT literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
A valid UAE driving license is highly preferred for site-to-site travel.
