About the Role

The Estimating Analyst I plays a critical role in the pre-construction phase by determining accurate labor and material costs for both new and existing home designs. This position is perfect for a data-driven individual who enjoys using analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction methods. You will act as a vital link between the Design, Purchasing, and Construction leadership teams, ensuring that every project budget is accurate, optimized, and ready for a successful release.


What You’ll Do

  • Cost Analysis: New Designs and Elevations

  • Provide labor and material cost for new and existing projects to meet deadlines and address market needs.

  • Analyze design costs and provide data supporting the proposed costs as well as identifying cost saving opportunities.

  • Coordinate with the Design and Purchasing Departments to identify alternative construction methods.

  • Revise Costs: Existing Designs

  • Review design changes to existing plans and update costs accordingly.

  • Coordinate with Construction Managers and Vice Presidents of Construction to identify and address concerns

  • Daily Releases

  • Review daily reports to organize and manage the release schedule for new home budgets to be built.

  • Provide final approval for new home release budgets.

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Requires 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience.

  • Some analyst experience preferred.

  • The ability to interpret cost analytics to identify inaccuracies, trends, and saving opportunities.

  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
