Unique Job Description

Short-Term School Walker | One-Week Safety Support | Nov 24–28

The Opportunity Are you a local neighbor or student looking for a simple, high-impact way to help a family for one week? I am starting a new work-from-home role and will be in intensive training from November 24th to November 28th. I need a reliable “Safety Walker” to pick up my son from school and bring him home so I can stay focused on my computer during those critical first days.

This is a very short daily task—less than 10 minutes—but it is one of the most important parts of our day.

Your Role & Safety Impact Your mission is simple: get him from point A to point B safely.

  • The Hand-in-Hand Rule: My son has a history of running away, so it is essential that you walk with him hand-in-hand for the entire duration of the walk.

  • The Handover: Once you arrive at our door and he is safely inside, your work for the day is complete.

  • Reliability: Because I cannot leave my training session, I need to know with 100% certainty that you will be at the school gates at dismissal time.

Who You Are

  • Local & Punctual: You likely live or work very close to our school/home and can easily spare 10 minutes in the afternoon.

  • Safety-Conscious: You understand the importance of the “hand-in-hand” rule and will stay vigilant for the entire 10-minute walk.

  • Dependable: You are looking for a small way to earn extra cash and are happy to commit to all five days of that specific week.

Position Details

  • Rate: $15.00 per shift (Note: While listed as hourly, this is a flat daily rate for a 10-minute task).

  • Dates: Monday, Nov 24 – Friday, Nov 28, 2026.

  • Location: Calgary, AB.
