Tire Shop Helper

Randstad Canada is seeking multiple general labour candidates for tire shop support roles in Ottawa. No prior experience is required. These roles involve assisting with tire handling, vehicle inspections, and general shop duties while working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Flexible schedules are available with opportunities for growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tire Handling & Vehicle Support
• Safely lift and unload tires up to 50 lbs and stack them near the front doors.
• Work outdoors in winter conditions for extended periods.
• Identify and remove lock keys using a breaker bar and sockets.
• Inspect tire tread depth and overall tire/rim condition for safety concerns.
• Perform socket checks to verify lug nuts are not swollen and vehicles can be serviced efficiently.
• Check tire pressures and perform tire and rim cleaning when necessary.

General Duties
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the shop through general housekeeping duties.
• Support shop staff, greeters, tire technicians, customer service, and admin roles as required.

SHIFTS & LOCATION
• Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 2 PM and 2 PM – 9 PM
• Part-time weekend shifts available
• Multiple locations in Ottawa, Ontario
• Start date: ASAP

QUALIFICATIONS
• Physical stamina to lift 30–50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• On-the-job training available; previous tire or equipment experience is an advantage
