Job Overview: Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny

The List – Services Business Network is seeking a resourceful and tech-savvy Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny for a welcoming, informal family based in Kent, UK. This role is designed for a “household CEO”—someone who can manage the logistics of a busy home for a professional couple and their three energetic children with minimal supervision.

In exchange for running a tight ship, you’ll enjoy significant autonomy, a private furnished residence with all bills covered, and your weekends entirely to yourself to explore the Garden of England.

Key Responsibilities & Household Management

Family Logistics & Childcare

  • Daily Operations: Oversee school runs, manage uniforms, and supervise homework sessions.

  • Activity Coordination: Devise creative, engaging activities for the children, balancing a fun atmosphere with a “firm but fair” approach to discipline and motivation.

  • Nutritious Catering: Prepare home-cooked family meals and healthy packed lunches/teas as required.

Property & Tech Oversight

  • Home Management: Maintain an organized, clean household, handle grocery shopping, and oversee external contractors while the children are at school.

  • Digital Logistics: Use apps, smart devices, and online tools to manage schedules and family communication.

  • Autonomy: You are trusted to manage your own day; as long as tasks are complete, you have flexibility for personal time during school hours.

Requirements & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

  • Driving: Must be a confident driver (a vehicle is provided for work purposes).

  • Tech Literacy: Comfortable using gadgets, music apps, and scheduling software relevant to modern family life.

  • Organization: Highly resourceful with the initiative to run a household without being micro-managed.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Previous nannying or childcare experience is highly valued.

  • Personality: Cheerful, positive, and able to keep children motivated.

  • Cooking: Ability to prepare simple, healthy family meals.

Compensation & Live-In Benefits

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 21:00 (with flexibility for personal time during the day).

  • Accommodation: Fully furnished live-in quarters provided; all utility bills included.

  • Work-Life Balance: Weekends are always off.

  • Location: Beautiful Kent, with work-related travel expenses covered.

  • Start Date: Immediate, as soon as the right fit is identified.

The Organization & Culture In 2026, The Business Network (Leeds)—operated by Business Network (Leeds) Limited—stands as one of the most established and structured professional networking organizations in West Yorkshire. Founded locally in 2006 (as part of a national brand reaching back to 1994), the culture is built on “Decision-Maker Synergy.” Unlike casual “mixer” events, this network is designed specifically for business owners, directors, and senior-level staff. The environment is professional, efficient, and highly curated, focusing on long-term relationship building rather than “speed networking.” Members describe the culture as supportive and collaborative, emphasizing a “quality over quantity” approach where every interaction is aimed at senior-level strategic growth.

The Leeds Presence: Curated Strategic Growth The network operates as a high-level gateway for the Leeds business community, providing a consistent “battle rhythm” for the city’s professional services:

    • The Structured Lunch Model: Events typically follow a rigid, effective 11:15 AM to 2:00 PM format, often hosted at premier city-center venues like the Novotel Leeds Centre.

    • Exclusive Categorization: To prevent oversaturation, the network limits membership to 4 to 5 businesses per category. This ensures that service providers (such as law firms, tech agencies, or accountants) aren’t competing with a dozen peers in the same room.

    • The “Decision-Maker” Filter: Membership is corporate and by invitation, ensuring that the people at the table are the actual decision-makers capable of authorizing partnerships and contracts.

    Workplace & Strategic Highlights (2026)

    • Strategic 2026 Initiatives: “Digital Efficiency”

      • Operational Workshops: 2026 events feature a heavy focus on “Digital Tools for Operational Efficiency,” teaching Leeds leaders how to use AI and automation to streamline their everyday business delivery.

      • Customer Journey Optimization: A key 2026 seminar theme is “Efficiently Converting YOUR Customers,” blending modern digital marketing strategies with traditional B2B relationship management.

    • 2026 Membership & Financials:

      • Annual Membership: As of 2026, the annual corporate membership fee is £300 (inc. VAT).

      • Payment Flexibility: The network offers a “Monthly Growth” plan at £25.00 per month, or a 3-month installment plan of £100 per month, making it accessible to both established firms and high-growth SMEs.

      • Event Fees: Beyond membership, members and visitors pay a standard Lunch Event Fee to cover the cost of the professional hospitality and networking workshops.

    • Member Benefits & Support:

      • Dual Representation: A corporate membership allows up to two representatives to attend each event, allowing firms to cycle in different subject matter experts depending on the event’s workshop theme.

      • Seating Strategy: Every event features a unique seating plan designed to place members with a fresh, diverse selection of businesses at each table, maximizing the “New Connection” potential.

      • The “Visitor” Entry: Prospective members are permitted to attend a Leeds or Wakefield event once as a visitor to experience the “Business Network Standard” before committing to a full year.

    Strategic Values: “Professionalism and Continuity”

    • 2026 Battle Rhythm: The network maintains a strict monthly calendar. In 2026, Leeds events are held on Wednesday mornings/afternoons, typically following the third Wednesday of the month (e.g., April 22, May 13, June 17).

    • Cross-Regional Synergy: Members gain visibility across the “Golden Triangle” of Yorkshire networking, with sister groups in York and Wakefield, allowing Leeds businesses to scale their influence across the M62 corridor.

    • Long-Term Retention: With a reputation for excellence spanning over 30 years nationally, the network relies on a high retention rate, where members often stay for several years, creating a “Trusted Inner Circle” within the Leeds economy.
