Test Automation Lead

Job Duties

• Lead Test Strategy: Collaborate with the Application Development team to analyze system specifications and develop comprehensive automation strategies and test plans.

• Automation Development: Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, and BDD (Behavior Driven Development).

• Execution & Analysis: Execute manual and automated test cases, evaluate product code against specifications, and perform deep-dive analysis of results.

• Defect Management: Document testing phases through detailed logs, report bugs to developers, and assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues.

• API & Integration Testing: Conduct rigorous API testing to ensure seamless communication between system components.

• Deployment Support: Perform post-release and post-implementation testing to verify system stability in production environments.

• Lifecycle Quality: Work within cross-functional teams to ensure quality benchmarks are met throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Infrastructure Testing: Apply specialized knowledge to test OpenShift applications and manage testing workflows within Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps.

Requirements

• Technical Core: Strong automation skills with a foundational mastery of Core JAVA.

• Framework Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Selenium, TestNG, and BDD automation frameworks is mandatory.

• Platform Experience: Hands-on experience with Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps and testing applications on OpenShift.

• Methodology: Proven experience working within Agile development and testing environments.

• Testing Scope: Demonstrated experience in API testing; knowledge of performance testing with JMeter is considered a significant advantage.

• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paired with strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Project Management: The ability to multi-task effectively and provide leadership for the testing phase of high-stakes projects.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of relevant and progressive experience in software development, testing, systems engineering, or architecture.

• Background: Proven track record as a “hands-on” automation tester across varied frameworks.

• Strategic Mindset: Ability to review complex system architectures and identify potential quality bottlenecks before they impact production.
