Job Summary: Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM)

Are you a builder who thrives on delivering complex technical projects at massive scale? AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to lead the expansion of our global data center footprint. In this role, you will be the primary driver behind keeping the cloud running, translating high-level concepts into physical reality by overseeing everything from conceptual design and capital budgeting to implementation and final deployment.

Requirements and Skills

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience

• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)

• Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds

• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance (Preferred)

• Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects (Preferred)

• Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery (Preferred)

• Master’s Degree or advanced professional certifications in management of complex, high value technology infrastructure projects (Preferred)

The Role

As a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, you will orchestrate cross-functional teams of software, hardware, and network engineers to deliver high-priority data center builds. Your mission is to navigate the entire project lifecycle, managing intricate capital budgets and utilizing project management methodologies to ensure on-time delivery. You will serve as a strategic leader who eliminates non-value-add activity and removes blockers in a fast-paced environment where understanding mechanical and electrical engineering concepts is as vital as managing stakeholder relationships. By driving these innovative projects, you ensure that AWS continues to provide infinite capacity and the highest standards of safety and security to millions of customers worldwide.

Location: Herndon, VA

Salary Range: $127,100 – $171,900 USD annually (plus sign-on and RSUs)
