Job Overview:
The Support Services Aide performs cleaning, food service support, and general facility maintenance tasks. You will help ensure residents’ rooms, common areas, and dining facilities are clean, safe, and well-stocked, contributing to an exceptional living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing resident rooms and common areas.

• Assist with food service tasks, including meal delivery, dishwashing, and cleaning dining areas.

• Receive, distribute, and store supplies; replenish linen and transport carts as needed.

• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions or unsafe conditions.

• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies, WHMIS, and safety procedures.

• Support janitorial and small maintenance tasks as assigned.

• Participate in continuous quality improvement, training, and team meetings.

• Promote resident, visitor, and staff safety at all times.

Qualifications:

• Completed Grade 12.

• Facility cleaning or kitchen experience is an asset.

• Food Safe certification is an asset.

• Effective verbal and written communication in English.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and operate equipment safely.

• Physically capable of performing required duties, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
