The Supply Distribution Attendant at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is a mission-critical role within the healthcare supply chain. Key Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Lifecycle
You are responsible for the “Last Mile” of delivery within the hospital walls, ensuring clinical staff never run out of essential tools.

Inventory Verification: Use handheld scanners to count and verify supply levels, producing and processing orders in real-time.

Replenishment & Rotation: Execute “Top-up” replenishment and strict stock rotation (First-In, First-Out) to ensure no medical supplies expire on the shelf.

Clinical Support: Act as the primary point of contact for nursing and medical staff to resolve immediate equipment or supply needs.

Discrepancy Tracking: Monitor and report shortages or quality issues from the Central Distribution Centre to maintain system-wide accuracy.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Education: Grade 12 diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Technical Wit: Either the completion of an inventory control course OR recent experience working in a high-volume inventory environment.

Operational Grit: Ability to commit to the “Minimum Availability” requirements, including significant holiday and weekend rotations.

Hospital supply chains differ from standard retail logistics due to the critical nature of the “SKUs” (Stock Keeping Units).
