These “one-stop-shop” centers combine a complete grocery store with significant sections for apparel, home electronics, hardware, and garden supplies. Working here requires the ability to navigate a massive floor plan and provide efficient service to a diverse urban population, from local families to seasonal tourists.
Typical Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greeting shoppers and providing expert navigation of the store’s multiple departments; managing specialized service counters such as Electronics, Jewelry, or the Deli.

Merchandising & Stocking: Processing daily shipments, “facing” products to maintain a clean appearance, and ensuring accurate pricing labels are displayed.

E-Commerce Fulfillment: Picking and packing online orders for the “Pickup” service, ensuring that substitutions are handled professionally and perishables are kept at temperature.

Front-End Operations: Managing high-speed checkout lanes, processing returns at the Customer Service desk, and assisting with the Fred Meyer Rewards program.
