Job Duties

  • Support the Restaurant General Manager by leading high-quality work shifts and maintaining Taco Bell operational standards.

  • Assign specific tasks to restaurant associates and verify completion to ensure smooth floor operations.

  • Execute opening and closing procedures, including the completion of Department of Health and safety checklists.

  • Manage inventory levels by assisting vendors and ensuring all food products are dated, rotated, and stored correctly.

  • Control payroll costs by monitoring staffing levels and arranging coverage for employee call-outs.

  • Provide on-the-spot training and feedback to Team Members to ensure high performance and growth.

  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure a positive guest experience.

  • Supervise food preparation to ensure compliance with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and plate presentation.

  • Perform register audits and follow strict money-handling, security, and labor law procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by cleaning equipment, grills, and refrigeration units in accordance with sanitation guidelines.


Requirements

  • Demonstrate a minimum of one year of management experience in a fast-paced retail or food service environment.

  • Maintain a valid NYC Food Safety Certification or ServSafe credential.

  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Display basic professional cooking and knife handling skills.

  • Manage time and priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting with a sense of urgency.

  • Possess a high threshold for ambiguity and the ability to adapt to changing customer volumes.

  • Follow all New York State Labor Laws and Department of Health standards rigorously.


Qualifications

  • Ability to work a fully flexible schedule, including mornings, days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights.

  • Physical capacity to stand for long periods, bend, and lift as required in a kitchen environment.

  • Deep understanding of food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures.

  • Energetic and entrepreneurial attitude aligned with Taco Bell’s unique brand culture.
