Job Description

The City of Ottawa is hiring multiple Part-Time Service Representatives within the Recreation, Cultural & Facility Services Department. This role supports Recreation Facilities and Arts Centres by assisting with programs such as day camps and swimming lessons. Responsibilities include customer service, cash handling, registration support, program assistance, and general administrative duties. This position offers flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.

Location: Various locations, Ottawa, ON

Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent – Up to 24 hours/week

Salary: $17.200 – $17.554 per hour (2024 rates)

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide customer service and program information to residents and visitors.
• Assist with registration and cash handling for programs and services.
• Support recreational and cultural programs, including day camps and swimming lessons.
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry and record keeping.
• Develop knowledge of facilities and programs to make referrals as needed.

Qualifications:
• Completion of Grade 10.
• Less than 3 months of experience working with the public required.
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR (2-rescuer), and AED Operator certificates.
• AODA Customer Service/IASR Training.
• Knowledge of computers, software applications, and corporate registration systems.
• General office procedures and word processing skills.
