Revera, Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team at retirement residences across Ottawa. As a Server/Dishwasher, you will provide an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests while supporting all aspects of meal service, set-up, clean-up, and kitchen operations. This role emphasizes care, professionalism, and teamwork in a welcoming environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dining Service & Support
• Serve meals to residents and guests courteously and professionally.
• Set, clear, and maintain dining tables; provide tray service when required.
• Support catering events, theme nights, and special occasions.
• Assist in orientation and training of new culinary staff.

Dishwashing & Kitchen Maintenance
• Clean dishware, cutlery, and kitchen utensils at the end of each service.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with safety and health standards.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Compliance & Resident Care
• Follow departmental safety procedures and provincial regulations.
• Respect and promote Resident Rights & Responsibilities.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training to stay updated on residence operations and resident needs.
• Uphold the organization’s values, ethics, and Code of Conduct.
• Complete other tasks as assigned to ensure smooth dining operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience in food service or working with seniors preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism.
• Physical ability to lift heavy, hot items and stand or walk for most of the shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
• Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS) within 6 months or willingness to obtain upon hire.
