Senior Full Stack Developer
Company: Stackstudio Digital Ltd.
Location: London (3 days onsite)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Professional Job Summary
Stackstudio Digital Ltd. is seeking a high-level Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the design and delivery of end-to-end cloud-native applications. This role requires an architect-level understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from front-end interface design using React and TypeScript to robust back-end microservices and cloud infrastructure management. You will be a key decision-maker responsible for setting technical standards, driving architecture choices, and ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
Key Responsibilities
-
-
Technical Strategy: Define reference architectures and design principles for development teams, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term scalability.
-
Architectural Oversight: Own the end-to-end architecture, including APIs, system integrations, and state management strategies.
-
Cloud & DevOps: Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.
-
Full Stack Development: Build secure, accessible front-ends with React/TypeScript and highly performant back-end services using Node.js or Python.
-
-
Data Strategy: Model and manage relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, implementing efficient caching and data access strategies.
-
Security & Compliance: Enforce secure coding practices, design robust authentication/authorization models, and ensure compliance with enterprise regulatory standards.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
-
Cloud Architecture: Deep expertise in one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
-
Full Stack Proficiency: Strong background in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python.
-
Data Management: Experience working with NoSQL and relational databases, including database modeling.
-
DevOps Culture: Mastery of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and observability tooling.
-
Leadership & Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical architecture to cross-functional teams and stakeholders clearly.
-
Bonus Assets: Prior experience with AI/ML integration and high-security cloud design is highly desirable.
Interview Process
The permanent hire process for this role involves three distinct stages:
-
Live Coding Session: Focused on real-world problem-solving and clean code practices.
-
Technical Interview Round: A deep dive into architectural patterns, system design, and technology choices.
-
Leadership/Culture Round: Assessing your ability to mentor teams, drive technical standards, and communicate complex concepts.
Career & Growth Perspective
This position is designed for an individual who is ready to move beyond “just writing code” and into “defining ecosystems.” As a Senior developer at Stackstudio, you will directly influence the company’s tech stack, offering a significant professional profile boost as a subject matter expert in modern cloud-native development.
Interview Preparation Insights
-
System Design: Be prepared to whiteboard a resilient, scalable microservices architecture that handles a massive spike in traffic.
-
Tech Trade-offs: Be ready to justify why you would choose MongoDB over Postgres for a specific use case, or why you would prefer a particular CI/CD toolchain.
-
Observability: Don’t just build it—monitor it. Be ready to discuss how you implement logging, tracing, and metrics to ensure your applications remain fault-tolerant.
-
AI/ML: Even if you haven’t built large models, understand how to integrate an LLM or ML pipeline into a standard REST API application.
