Job Overview: Morning Shift Attendant Care (Direct Hire)
This is a unique opportunity to work as a Direct Employee for a 38-year-old disabled individual in Indianapolis. Unlike agency roles, you will be hired directly by the client through the Indiana FSSA Health & Wellness Waiver – Consumer Directed Care (CDC) Program.
This role is ideal for a reliable caregiver or nursing student looking for consistent morning hours and a professional, one-on-one employer-employee relationship. Agencies are strictly prohibited from applying.
Key Responsibilities & Employment Details
The “Consumer Directed” Model

Direct Employment: You will be hired as an employee of the client, not an agency.

Administrative Compliance: You must meet with the Employer to complete an employment contract, verify USCIS Form I-9 information, and complete necessary tax forms.

Reporting: You will report directly to the client regarding job performance, daily care tasks, and scheduling requests.
Care Duties

Morning Routine: Provide essential attendant care and/or nursing support during the critical morning transition.

Health & Wellness: Follow the specific care plan outlined by the Employer to support their independence within their home.
Requirements & Qualifications

Vetting: Must be able to pass a statewide criminal history check.

Transportation: Must have your own reliable transportation to ensure prompt arrival for early morning shifts.

Professionalism: High level of reliability and the ability to maintain clear communication with the Employer.

Legal: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide documentation for I-9 verification.
Job Schedule & Compensation
This position offers a highly competitive hourly rate for specialized home care:

Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour (Paid through the Indiana FSSA Waiver Program).

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Shift Times: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Note: The job posting lists two overlapping blocks, 6–9 a.m. and 9–12 p.m.; however, the primary request is for 3-hour morning care).
