Job Summary
The Security Officer – Unarmed Driver Patrol at Allied Universal® is a high-visibility role focused on the safety and operational integrity of busy retail and mall locations in San Antonio, TX. This position combines foot and vehicle patrols to deter security incidents, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service to guests and vendors. As a mobile responder, you are the first line of defense in identifying suspicious activity, maintenance hazards, and loss prevention concerns. This part-time role offers a structured three-day schedule with the ability to expand earnings via modern shift-claiming technology.
Key Responsibilities

Mobile & Foot Patrols: Conduct regular and random patrols across retail sales floors, back-of-house areas, receiving docks, and perimeter parking lots to deter unwanted activity.

Incident Response: React to critical situations and incidents with a calm, professional, and problem-solving approach; document all observations and provide updates to site leadership.

Customer Service: Serve as a helpful resource for guests and associates, assisting with directions, site-specific policies, and emergency response procedures when necessary.

Access Control & Crowd Management: Monitor high-traffic entrances and exits, support loss prevention efforts, and manage lines/crowds during peak shopping periods.

Operational Checks: Perform routine inspections of doors, gates, and alarms; report maintenance or operational concerns identified during patrols.

Professional Reporting: Complete detailed shift activity reports and document security-related incidents according to site-specific post orders.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Licensing: A valid driver’s license is mandatory and must meet Allied Universal’s driver policy requirements.

Age & Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Legal Readiness: Must pass a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with diverse groups, including associates, vendors, and emergency services.

Reliability: Demonstrated agility and integrity in a workplace that values teamwork and innovative service.
Preferred Qualifications
