Core Responsibilities

Shipment Verification: Physically and systematically oversee the receipt of all incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders (POs).

Documentation Control: Ensure all packing slips, bills of lading, and delivery receipts are complete, accurate, and filed for accounting reconciliation.

Inventory Management: Update inventory records in real-time to provide the purchasing and operations teams with accurate stock levels.

Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and report any shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments, working with vendors and the purchasing team to resolve issues promptly.

Cross-Functional Support: Act as a liaison between the yard/site operations and the accounting department to streamline the “three-way match” process (PO, Receiving Report, Invoice).

Compliance: Ensure all receiving activities adhere to company safety protocols and internal financial audit standards.
Candidate Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in receiving, inventory management, or junior accounting—ideally within the construction or industrial sectors.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in data entry and accounting software; familiarity with ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle) is a significant advantage.
