Room Attendant – Hampton By Hilton Bristol Airport

Website Clarity Housekeeping

Job Summary: Room Attendant (Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport)

Clarity Housekeeping Ltd is recruiting a Room Attendant to join the housekeeping team at the Hampton by Hilton, located directly at Bristol Airport (BRS). This role is essential to the airport’s hospitality infrastructure, ensuring that “fly-stay-fly” passengers have a pristine, high-standard environment for their layovers or early-morning departures.

This is a Full-Time role with a unique bi-weekly pay schedule and excellent transport links specifically for airport workers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Room Preparation & Sanitization

  • Deep Cleaning: Vacuum, polish, and dust guest rooms to the high brand standards of Hilton.

  • Linen Management: Strip used bedding and towels, replenish with fresh linen, and ensure all guest supplies (toiletries, coffee, etc.) are fully stocked.

  • Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure every room is “guest-ready” following check-outs.

2. Operational Coordination

  • Check-in/Departure Sync: Liaise closely with the Head Housekeeper to prioritize rooms based on real-time guest arrivals and departures.

  • Defect Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance faults (broken lights, plumbing issues) or safety concerns to the senior team immediately.

3. Guest Experience

  • Professionalism: Maintain a polite and courteous attitude when encountering guests in corridors.

  • Reliability: Work efficiently under pressure, especially during high-occupancy periods typical of an airport hotel.

Role Details & Pay

  • Pay Frequency: Paid every 2 weeks.

  • Hours: Average of 5 days per week on a rota basis (includes weekends). Hours are subject to hotel occupancy levels.

  • Location: Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport (BS48).

  • Transport Perk: Discounted airport bus fare (£1.50 each way) on the A1 and A4 routes (A3 route starting in April). On-site parking is also available.

Candidate Requirements

Skills & Attributes:

  • Detail Oriented: A passion for cleanliness and a focus on the quality of your own work.

  • Communication: Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

  • Resilience: Ability to work individually and remain productive under the physical demands of housekeeping.

  • Experience: Previous hotel or cleaning experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Benefits & Career Growth

  • Progression: Clarity Housekeeping employs over 3,000 staff, providing clear pathways for promotion into Senior Housekeeping or Supervisory roles.

  • Financial Security: Auto-enrolment into the Company Pension Scheme.

  • Holiday: 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).

  • Support: Staff uniform provided and flexible working hours.

Why Bristol Airport (BRS)?

Bristol Airport is a rapidly growing hub. Working at the on-site Hilton provides a stable environment compared to city-center hotels, as airport occupancy remains consistently high year-round.

Application Tip: The “Efficiency” Factor

Airport hotels often have “quick turnarounds” where guests check out at 4:00 AM and new guests arrive shortly after.

  1. Speed and Quality: In your interview, emphasize how you manage your time to ensure rooms are cleaned quickly without sacrificing the “Hilton Standard.”

  2. Team Synergy: Housekeeping is a team sport. Mention your willingness to help colleagues finish a floor or assist with linen deliveries when needed.

  3. Local Commute: If you are using the A1 or A4 bus, mention this. Reliability is the #1 trait recruiters look for in airport-based roles.

Sectors and Services

Clarity Housekeeping positions itself as a strategic partner that helps businesses reduce operational overhead by outsourcing their cleaning requirements.

  • Hotel Housekeeping: Their flagship service. They provide full room-attendant teams, supervisors, and management for major hotel chains, ensuring rooms meet specific brand standards.

  • Commercial & Retail: Cleaning for offices, supermarkets, and shopping centers, often using specialized equipment for large-scale floor care.

Technology: The “Clarity Way”

A key differentiator for the company in 2026 is its focus on digitized housekeeping. They utilize a proprietary mobile application that integrates with hotel management systems:

  • Real-Time Tracking: Managers can track room readiness live, reducing delays for arriving guests.

  • Digital Checklists: Ensures thorough cleaning via standardized mobile checklists that must be marked off before a room status moves to “Clean.”

  • Maintenance Integration: Staff can log maintenance issues (like a broken lightbulb) directly in the app, which automatically alerts the hotel’s engineering team.

Working at Clarity (Weston-super-Mare & Beyond)

As a large employer in the North Somerset region, the Weston-super-Mare office serves as the central administrative and HR hub.

  • The “HQ Experience”: Employee reviews from the Weston-super-Mare headquarters are notably higher than field roles, with staff describing a “close-knit, supportive” environment and “excellent work-life balance” for corporate functions.

  • Field Roles: Nationwide, roles such as Room Attendants (avg. £12.60/hr) and Housekeeping Supervisors (avg. £13.13/hr) are described as fast-paced and physically demanding.

  • Training & Progression: The company promotes a “The Clarity Way” training program and offers apprenticeships. They take pride in a high rate of internal promotion, with many senior managers having started as cleaning operatives.

  • 2026 Benefits: * Access to the “Clarity Smile” platform for mental health and financial support.

    • Flexible shift patterns (often 5-on, 2-off or weekend-only).

    • Enhanced training opportunities through partnerships with industry bodies like BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science).

All applicants undergo thorough background checks, and new starters typically receive three days of intensive practical training before being assigned to a site team.
