Leadpoint USA is hiring entry-level Recycling Sorters for a high-volume processing plant in Houston. This is a essential general labor role focused on separating recyclable materials to help keep the community clean. Key Responsibilities & Work Environment

Sorting Operations

  • Manual Sorting: Identify and separate various recyclable materials (paper, plastic, glass, metal) from a moving conveyor belt.

  • Quality Control: Ensure non-recyclable items or contaminants are removed to maintain the quality of the processed material.

  • Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all safety protocols and instructions to prevent injury in a fast-paced industrial setting.

The Environment

  • Physical Demand: This is a labor-intensive role. You must be able to stand for the duration of your shift and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

  • Pace: The work is repetitive and requires constant attention to detail as materials pass by on the sorting line.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Criteria

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Reliability: Must have reliable transportation. While many sites are near bus lines, the company also encourages carpooling.

  • Screening: Must consent to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Note on THC: Because this is a “safety-sensitive” position, the drug test will include testing for THC.

Skills & Attributes

  • Instruction: Ability to follow verbal and visual directions accurately.

  • Teamwork: Enjoy working as part of a group in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience: While not required, prior experience in warehouse work or general labor is a plus.


Compensation, Shifts & Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour.

  • Payment Frequency: Weekly pay.

  • Shifts: Multiple shifts are available (Day/Night options).
