The Company & Culture GAT Airline Ground Support (recently acquired by PrimeFlight Aviation Services in early 2026) is a veteran in the aviation services industry, originally founded in 1965. Its culture is characterized by the fast-paced, high-stakes nature of airport operations. In 2026, the company is transitioning from a family-led boutique feel into a major North American power player. Employees often describe a tight-knit “work family” among the front-line staff, though larger corporate shifts can sometimes lead to a feeling of being “just a number.” The environment is ideal for those who enjoy being around aircraft and don’t mind physical, outdoors-oriented work that changes with every flight arrival.
The Location: Tallahassee International Airport (TLH) As a key service provider at TLH, GAT’s team ensures the smooth operation of regional and national flights connecting Florida’s capital to major hubs.
-
The TLH Hub: Located at 3300 Capital Circle SW, the Tallahassee airport offers a more manageable, community-oriented pace compared to the “mega-hubs” like ATL or MIA.
-
The Role: Working here typically involves supporting major carriers like American Airlines or Delta. In 2026, the TLH team is heavily focused on passenger assistance and ramp operations, ensuring that baggage and ground logistics move as efficiently as the local “flight log” demands.
