Project Assistant (Demobilization) – Oman

Prismecs is searching for a dedicated and practical Project Helper to support a critical plant demobilization and shutdown project in Oman. This is a short-term, high-impact role requiring immediate local mobilization to assist technical teams with the dismantling, maintenance, and systematic organization of industrial equipment.

Core Responsibilities

• Support mechanical, electrical, and operations teams during full-scale plant dismantling and shutdown tasks.

• Assist in the safe removal, tagging, and tracking of heavy machinery and technical components.

• Perform equipment cleaning, industrial preparation, and organized storage of dismantled parts.

• Aid in routine maintenance activities, including pump, filter, and fuel system checks.

• Conduct fluid testing and assist senior technicians with basic equipment evaluations and root cause analysis.

• Maintain rigorous adherence to site HSE policies, ensuring consistent use of PPE and reporting of hazards.

• Facilitate inventory audits for spare parts and manage the care and tracking of industrial tools.

• Execute general site housekeeping and administrative support to ensure a clean, efficient workspace.

• Provide translation support if applicable and assist with daily operational reporting.

Candidate Requirements

• Technical school diploma or an equivalent vocational qualification.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a plant, factory, or industrial setting.

• Current residency in Oman with the ability to begin work immediately.

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for site communication.

• Basic computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to work flexible rotating shifts throughout the project duration.

• Fundamental understanding of industrial maintenance and heavy plant machinery.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and a proactive mindset regarding hazard identification.

• Excellent team collaboration skills with the ability to follow complex technical instructions.

• High level of physical stamina and adaptability to fast-paced, heated industrial environments.

• Reliability and a strong work ethic suited for a 2–4 month intensive project.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience specifically in power plant environments or large-scale decommissioning projects.

• Functional knowledge of basic HSE frameworks and industrial safety protocols.

• Proficiency in the German language is considered a distinct advantage.
