The Meat (Requirements & Skills)

• Support overseeing energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements globally.

• Act as a subject matter expert on underlying transactions in executed renewable energy agreements.

• Design and oversee mechanisms for power settlements execution and validation.

• Design, improve and support internal processes for the proper representation of power transactions across multiple counterparties and entities.

• Report and analyze portfolio performance in collaboration with other teams, identifying impacts to our business units and our customers.

• Plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations and its reporting.

• Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazon’s management of its energy portfolio.

• Support reporting for environmental attributes tracking and retirement across the portfolio.

• Work collaboratively with other AWS and Amazon teams to support the management of the energy programs.

The Goal (About the Role) The focus of this role is to modernize and scale Amazon’s renewable energy footprint. By mastering complex power settlements and optimizing internal reporting processes, you will ensure our global energy portfolio is managed with precision, driving innovation in how we track environmental attributes and support our long-term sustainability commitments.
