The Partner Development Representative (PDR) at Clio is a high-growth sales and networking role within the world’s leading legal AI technology company. Based in Vancouver (with Calgary or Toronto options), you are the “Growth Catalyst” for Clio’s Channel Partner ecosystem. This role requires the “wit” to identify strategic business alliances and the “grit” to execute a full recruitment cycle—from cold-calling prospects to signing high-value partnership agreements—expanding Clio’s reach into new market segments.

Job Details

  • Employer: Clio (Global leader in cloud-based legal technology).

  • Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid: minimum 2 days in-office per week).

  • Base Salary: $60,400 – $81,800 CAD (Midpoint around $71,100).

  • Variable Comp (OTE): $25,900 – $35,100 CAD (Uncapped commission potential).

Key Responsibilities: The Partner Recruitment Lifecycle

You manage the “Top of Funnel” for Clio’s indirect sales strategy.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and hunt for new partners (consultants, resellers, or legal tech integrators) via inbound leads and aggressive outbound outreach.

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own the process from the first “hello” to the final signed contract, ensuring a frictionless onboarding experience.

  • Relationship Architecture: Nurture prospects to build a foundation of trust and collaborative growth.

  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Work with Marketing and Sales to increase internal and external awareness of channel initiatives.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor legal tech trends and competitor partner programs to sharpen your pitch.

  • Field Representation: Travel to industry conferences and trade shows to engage potential partners in person.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

  • The “Persuasive Communicator”: At least 1 year of sales experience, including high-volume cold-calling and outbound prospecting.

  • Technical Wit: Proficiency with the modern sales stack: Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Operational Grit: Self-motivated and process-oriented with the ability to manage a complex pipeline of potential partners.

  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present a compelling business case to high-level stakeholders.

  • Bonus: Previous experience specifically in Channel Sales or partner management.

Technical Insights: The Channel Partner Ecosystem

In the SaaS world, “Channel Partners” are external entities that help sell or implement your product.

  • Indirect Sales Model: Unlike direct sales, you are recruiting partners who will then sell Clio to their clients. This creates a “Force Multiplier” effect for revenue.

  • Partner Onboarding: A key part of your role is ensuring partners are “Clio Certified” or trained. You align their business goals with Clio’s “Human and High-Performing” culture.

  • The Sales Stack: Using tools like Salesloft and ZoomInfo, you will build automated “cadences” (sequences of emails and calls) to systematically touch hundreds of potential partners monthly.

Why Join the “Clion” Community?

Clio is famous for its culture and was a pioneer in the “Legal-Tech” space, now evolving rapidly with AI.

  • Total Rewards: Beyond salary, you receive a $2,000 counseling benefit, RRSP matching, and “Clioversary” recognition milestones.

  • Flexibility: A “Flexible Time Off” policy that actually encourages you to take at least 20 days off per year to recharge.

  • Career Pathing: The PDR role is a proven springboard into Channel Account Management (CAM) or Senior Sales leadership.

  • DIBE Commitment: A strong focus on Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Equity, ensuring you can show up as your authentic self.

Job Description

Do you believe that the right partnership can change the trajectory of a company? Clio is seeking a Partner Development Representative. We aren’t looking for a “telemarketer”; we are looking for a relationship builder who has the “grit” to navigate a long recruitment cycle and the “wit” to articulate how Clio’s AI can transform a partner’s business. If you want to help increase “Access to Justice” by strengthening the legal ecosystem, you belong here.

In this role, you are a “Market Expander.” You understand that every new partner you sign is a gateway to dozens of law firms that need better technology. Your goal is to provide “Excellence in Channel Development,” ensuring our ecosystem is as robust as our software. We look for “High-Performing” individuals who are creative, organized, and ready to win.

Joining Clio means joining a global leader that values being “Human” as much as being successful. We offer a competitive OTE and a hybrid environment that fosters true collaboration. If you are a sales professional with a commitment to “Strategic Growth and Partner Success,” we invite you to apply and help us build the #1 legal cloud solution from our Vancouver hub.
