Overview

The Part Time IRS Teacher helps pupils build a solid understanding of Islamic teachings, values, and practices in a gentle and age appropriate way. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, patient, and able to make lessons meaningful and engaging for pupils in the primary school. This role requires someone who can teach confidently while promoting respect, moral development, and a positive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver clear and engaging IRS lessons that align with the school curriculum and age appropriate learning goals.
• Teach pupils about Islamic beliefs, values, moral conduct, and relevant stories in a child friendly manner.
• Encourage good character, respect, discipline, and positive behaviour through lessons and class activities.
• Assess pupils’ understanding and provide helpful feedback to support growth.
• Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school leaders to support the overall development of pupils.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and all school policies.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or a related field.
• Experience teaching children is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Islamic teachings and child friendly instructional methods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From ₦40,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
