Weekend Warrior: Overnight Cabin Cleaning Team

Pay: $17.50/hr

Location: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

Shift: Friday – Sunday | 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM

Ever wonder what happens to an airplane between landing and takeoff? This is your chance to see behind the scenes. We’re looking for focused, high-energy night owls to join our cabin cleaning crew at Sky Harbor. If you like staying active, working in a unique environment, and seeing the immediate results of your hard work, this is the perfect weekend gig.

Your Mission on the Tarmac

You’ll be part of the team responsible for turning a plane around and making it “passenger-ready.” This is a fast-paced, physical role where timing is everything.

  • The Deep Clean: You’ll handle the trash removal, vacuuming, and sanitizing of tray tables and seating areas.

  • Lavatory Care: Ensuring restrooms are spotless and fully stocked.

  • Security First: Performing mandatory security searches to ensure the cabin is safe and cleared for the next flight.

  • Efficiency: Working against the clock to ensure the airline hits its departure windows.

What You’ll Need to Bring

  • Stamina: This is a workout. You’ll be lifting, squatting, and moving around an aircraft cabin for the duration of your shift (capable of lifting 75+ lbs).

  • Dependability: Since this is a weekend-only role, your team really relies on you to be there every Friday through Sunday.

  • Clean Record: Because you’ll be working at the airport, you must be 18+ and able to pass an FBI background check to get your airport badge.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Aviation Industry: The “Turnaround” Impact

A clean cabin isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a critical part of airline operations and passenger psychology. Here is how cabin cleaning impacts the broader aviation industry.

Working at Sky Harbor: What to Expect

Working at an airport is different from a standard office or retail job. It comes with unique perks and responsibilities.

  • Security Badging: You’ll get an SIDA badge, giving you access to secure areas of the airport—a process that is a great addition to any professional background.

  • The “Hush”: There is a unique energy at the airport overnight. While the terminals are quieter, the tarmac is buzzing with activity to prepare for the morning rush.

  • Reliability: You’ll need a solid plan for parking and getting through security checkpoints to ensure you’re at the gate on time for your shift.
