Job Overview
As an Operator in Training, you will learn vacuum truck operations, including hydro excavation, line flushing, spill cleanup, water hauling, and other industrial services. This role provides mentorship, hands-on training, and the opportunity to obtain a Class 3A or 1A license to grow into a licensed operator.

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract

• Willingness to obtain Class 3A or 1A license through training

• Physically fit, reliable, and team-oriented

• Strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude

• Prior industrial or labor experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Support daily Vacuum Truck Services operations under supervision

• Assist with fieldwork, equipment checks, and pre-trip inspections

• Maintain accurate records of work performed

• Participate in safety training, hazard assessments, and meetings

• Provide professional service to clients while representing GFL

• Demonstrate initiative and take on increasing responsibilities over time
