Job Overview:
As an Operator, you will oversee processing and milling machinery, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Responsibilities include organizing shift activities, performing milling and sanitation tasks, monitoring compliance with food safety standards, and supporting overall plant operations. This role reports to the Plant Manager and Head Miller.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and optimize processing/milling equipment to meet production goals.

• Perform daily processing, milling, sanitation, and reporting activities.

• Follow SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, and other operational initiatives for safety and efficiency.

• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.

• Maintain positive relationships, address operational issues, and recommend facility improvements.

• Submit production reports and other administrative documents as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years processing/milling/packaging experience; grain milling preferred.

• Knowledge of food processing, packaging, and food safety is an asset.

• Minimum 2 years forklift experience/certification.

• High School Diploma preferred.

• Excellent organizational and numerical skills, attention to detail.

• Ability to lift up to 22kg (50 lbs).

• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

• Willingness to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and in varying temperatures.
