About the Company: Accor (Fairmont & Raffles)
Accor is a world-leading hospitality group, and its luxury icons— Fairmont and Raffles —represent the pinnacle of the industry. Fairmont is celebrated for its historic, “grand dame” addresses and national park lodges, while Raffles remains the “birthplace of stories” since 1887.In the United Arab Emirates , Accor maintains a massive footprint, using Dubai as a strategic regional hub to oversee expansion into the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. Market & Industry Context: The 2026 Luxury Pipeline
In 2026, the luxury hospitality market in the UAE and globally has shifted towards “Hyper-Personalization” and “Asset-Light” growth. With 34 new properties in the Fairmont/Raffles pipeline, the industry is moving away from generic service to data-driven guest experiences. This internship matters because it sits at the intersection of Real Estate (Openings) and Quality Assurance (GX) . In a post-pandemic era, the “Opening” phase of a hotel determines its long-term financial viability, making the specialized skills learned in this role highly sought after by global asset managers.
Career Growth & Progression Path
This internship is designed as a “Fast-Track” into luxury corporate hospitality management:
-
Junior Project Manager (Openings): Transitioning into a full-time role managing the operational “countdown” for new hotels.
-
GX Coordinator: Specialized focus on Quality Assurance and Brand Standards auditing across a regional cluster.
-
Operations Analyst: Moving into a data-centric role within Accor’s regional headquarters, focusing on P&L and commercial performance.
-
Brand Management: Developing into a brand guardian role, ensuring Fairmont or Raffles standards are upheld globally.
Interview Preparation Insights
Candidates should prepare for a competency-based interview focusing on project logic:
-
The “Taskworld” Logic: Be ready to discuss how you prioritize a long list of tasks when three different stakeholders have “urgent” requests.
-
Data Interpretation: Practice explaining how a “low score” in a guest sentiment tool (like TrustYou) could be translated into an operational improvement plan.
-
Luxury Awareness: Understand the difference between Fairmont’s “Grandeur” and Raffles’ “Oasis” vibes. How does the “Opening” process differ for a historic takeover vs. a new desert resort?
-
Attention to Detail: Expect a check on your ability to maintain “error-free” executive presentations and minutes.
