Geeks on Site is seeking skilled POS Installation Technicians to join our nationwide network for local, on-call assignments. This Independent Contractor (1099) role offers a competitive rate of $35.00 per hour for on-site time, providing a flexible schedule ideal for experienced IT field professionals.

As a POS Installation Technician, you will be the face of the brand at various commercial sites, responsible for the physical installation and digital configuration of point-of-sale systems. Your core duties include setting up hardware such as Clover terminals, card readers, cash drawers, and tablets, while ensuring seamless integration with existing network infrastructure via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. You will work closely with remote support teams to verify device synchronization and connectivity, ensuring a professional handoff to the client. Maintaining high standards of workmanship—including meticulous cable management and submitting site documentation via CRM—is essential.

The ideal candidate has at least 2+ years of experience in field IT or low-voltage installations and is proficient with platforms like Dejavoo, Square, and Verifone. You must possess your own reliable vehicle, a smartphone for reporting, and a basic toolkit (drill, testers, etc.). Geeks on Site offers an on-demand environment with parts reimbursement for approved hardware, allowing you to manage your own availability through our corporate platform.
