Job Description

Are you a professional driver who values the predictability of a dedicated lane and the comfort of being home every morning? BRAE Transport Limited is looking for a Class 1 Driver to join our team in Moncton. We aren’t a massive, faceless corporation; we are a Canada-only carrier that knows our drivers by name and values the hard work it takes to keep the supply chain moving across the Maritimes.

Your workweek starts Sunday night, taking you on a dedicated run through the heart of the region. This is a “driver’s route”—modern equipment, no US border crossings, and a consistent schedule that allows you to plan your life. You’ll be responsible for a nightly loop to Charlottetown, utilizing a pallet jack for some loading as you manage returns. We look for drivers who treat their truck like their own and take pride in being exactly where they need to be, exactly when they need to be there.

Joining BRAE Transport means joining a stable, supportive environment. We offer a competitive daily rate and a full suite of benefits because we believe in taking care of the people who take care of our clients. If you have the required three years of experience and are looking for a permanent home where you are a valued team member rather than just a truck number, we invite you to apply.

Help us maintain our reputation for reliability in the Maritimes. We look forward to seeing you on the road.

BRAE Transport Limited | Moncton, NB

BRAE Transport Limited is a specialized logistics and freight carrier operating primarily within Atlantic Canada. Known for being a “Canada-only” carrier, the company focuses on providing reliable, dedicated lane solutions for regional supply chains, intentionally avoiding trans-border US runs to maintain a high level of consistency and driver work-life balance within the Maritimes.

Company Culture

The culture at BRAE Transport is defined by its “Team-Focused” approach. In an industry often characterized by high turnover, BRAE emphasizes a more personal, small-company feel despite its expansive regional reach.

  • Recognition & Value: A core cultural pillar is the “Driver First” mentality. Leadership prides itself on knowing employees by name rather than as truck numbers, aiming to foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect.

  • Safety & Reliability: The company invests in modern equipment (primarily a fleet ranging from 2015 to 2021) to ensure driver safety and cargo security. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining “scheduled arrival and departure times,” which appeals to drivers who prefer predictable, structured shifts.

  • Equal Opportunity: BRAE operates as an equal opportunity employer, focusing on building a diverse team of professional drivers who are committed to long-term regional service.

Location & Strategic Lanes

While the company’s administrative roots are in Bedford, Nova Scotia (35 Duke Street), Moncton serves as a critical operational hub and transfer point for their Maritime network.

  • The Moncton-Charlottetown Corridor: Moncton is the primary staging ground for BRAE’s dedicated nightly lanes. A signature route involves departures from Moncton with multiple stops, transiting through Charlottetown, PEI, and returning to Moncton.

  • Regional Logistics Advantage: By basing operations in Moncton—the “Hub City”—BRAE can efficiently manage distribution across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, ensuring that “dedicated” service actually remains on schedule.

  • Modern Fleet Hub: The Moncton depot acts as a key site for their fleet of tractor-trailers, where drivers utilize technology-integrated cabs and pallet-jack equipment for specialized loading and returns.
