Unique Job Description

Destination Holiday Nanny | 3-Week Mexico Vacation Placement

About the Family & The Trip

We are a warm, active Canadian family of 10—including grandparents, parents, and four young children (two sets of toddlers/preschoolers aged 2 and 4)—heading to beautiful San Jose del Cabo this winter. We view our vacations as a time for family connection and exploration, and we are looking for an energetic, helpful Nanny to join us from December 15th to January 4th.

Our goal is to have an extra set of hands to ensure the kids are safe and entertained, allowing the adults to relax and explore the local culture with a bit more ease. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to support a joyful family holiday in one of Mexico’s most stunning coastal destinations.

Your Role in the Holiday

As our holiday nanny, you will be the “fun and organized” engine of our kids’ vacation. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Active Supervision: Keeping a close, caring eye on four young children during villa play, pool time, and beach excursions.

  • Play & Activities: Organizing games, reading, and simple activities to keep the children engaged while the adults are busy or resting.

  • Culinary Assistance: Helping prepare simple, nutritious meals for the children and assisting with general family meal prep and cleanup.

  • Light Household Support: Helping maintain a tidy environment in our vacation rental so we can focus on family time.

  • Travel Companion: Accompanying the family on local outings to provide childcare support “on the go.”

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a positive “can-do” attitude who blends easily into a family dynamic.

  • Culturally Minded: We have a preference for candidates of Mexican heritage or those with a deep familiarity with the language and region of San Jose del Cabo.

  • High Energy: Managing four children under five requires stamina and a genuine love for the toddler and preschool age groups.

  • Adaptable: Vacation schedules can be fluid; we need someone who is flexible and happy to help where needed most.

  • No Experience Required: While we value experience, we are most interested in someone who is responsible, kind, and a natural with children.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Dates: December 15 – January 4 (Must be available for the full duration).

  • Pay: Weekly rate is negotiable based on your experience and the level of support provided.

  • Travel: Details regarding flights and accommodations will be discussed with the successful candidate.
