Job Duties


  • Develop the overarching marketing strategy for the sports vertical to drive brand growth and fan engagement across the United States.

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of high-profile marketing campaigns surrounding major sporting events and league partnerships.

  • Manage high-value relationships with external sports properties, athletes, and media agencies to ensure brand integration.

  • Oversee the creative development of sports-specific content to ensure authenticity and resonance with diverse fan bases.

  • Direct a significant annual marketing budget with a focus on high-impact media buys and experiential activations.

  • Analyze fan data and viewership trends to identify emerging opportunities for brand positioning within the sports ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to enhance the digital fan experience through branded features.

  • Present comprehensive seasonal marketing roadmaps and performance attribution models to the executive leadership team.

  • Mentor a specialized team of marketing managers to foster a culture of high performance and industry expertise.

  • Negotiate complex sponsorship agreements and talent contracts to secure premium brand visibility and rights.


Requirements


  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.

  • Demonstrate extensive experience in a senior marketing leadership role specifically within the sports or entertainment industry.

  • Show a proven track record of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns for major sports brands or leagues.

  • Possess deep expertise in the US sports landscape, including professional leagues, collegiate athletics, and emerging trends.

  • Exhibit exceptional negotiation skills with a history of managing multimillion-dollar budgets and partnerships.

  • Apply advanced analytical skills to interpret complex audience data and translate it into growth strategies.

  • Communicate a clear strategic vision to internal stakeholders and external partners at an executive level.

  • Manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously while meeting rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work full-time from the New York, NY office with the flexibility for travel to major sporting events.

  • Display a sophisticated understanding of the intersection between sports culture, technology, and consumer behavior.
