Job Description
Do you believe that the backbone of world-class pediatric care is a safe, reliable, and innovative facility? CHEO is looking for a Manager of Facilities Operations – ITC to join our award-winning team in Ottawa. We aren’t just maintaining a hospital; we are building a 21st-century integrated health system. If you have the “grit” to lead unionized trades through the complexities of a 24/7 clinical environment and the “wit” to manage a multi-million dollar redevelopment budget, you are the leader we need to support the 500,000 children we serve annually.
In this role, you are a “Resilience Architect.” You understand that if a medical gas system or emergency power fails, patient care is at risk. Your goal is to foster a “Safety-First” culture where data-driven insights from CMMS lead to predictive, rather than reactive, operations. We look for “Integrity-first” leaders who are as comfortable discussing single-line diagrams with engineers as they are coaching a supervisor through a complex labor relations challenge.
Joining CHEO means joining Canada’s best healthcare employer—a place that celebrates diversity, honours the land it sits on, and thrives on excellence. We offer a highly competitive compensation package and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy through our $812M redevelopment plan. We provide a supportive, high-energy environment where your expertise in facility management is directly linked to the health and happiness of children. If you are a self-motivated professional with a commitment to “Excellence in Facilities,” we invite you to apply by 11:59 pm the day before the closing date.
