• Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting equipment and performing routine maintenance on manufacturing and utility machines.

  • Installing and commissioning new machinery into the production environment.

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing faults, and repairing equipment during breakdowns.

  • Operating and maintaining specialist equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

  • Fitting new parts and verifying equipment functionality post-repair.

  • Ensuring engineering staff compliance with health and safety legislation and performance regulations.

  • Executing scheduled maintenance plans to mitigate production downtime.

• Requirements:

  • Full-time trade apprentice training in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 03 or 04).

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a technician within a manufacturing environment.

  • Technical proficiency in PLC systems and factory assembly line mechanics.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

  • Age below 35 years.

  • Proximity to the Bandaragama area is preferred.
