Cornish Lithium are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Machinery/Maintenance Operator.

This is an ideal opportunity to work for a rapidly growing Lithium Extraction Company based in Cornwall and would suit someone with agricultural or groundworks experience to assist the technical team at Drill sites and Workshops across the County.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Operations/Maintenance Team Leader, the successful candidate will carry out a range of duties, including but not limited to the following:
• Upkeep of site equipment and machines
• Maintenance inspections
• On-site breakdown support
• Be involved in ongoing improvement projects
• Carry out building maintenance and repairs
• Moving of site equipment using a telehandler/loader
• Loading/unloading of deliveries
• Providing support at Construction and Exploration Drilling sites

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Operation of agricultural equipment (Telehandler/Tractor/Loader)
• Trailer haulage experience
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Right to Work in the UK

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience in the maintenance of machinery, including; generators, pumps and motors would be advantageous
• Understanding of Chemical Handling/COSHH
• First Aid at Work Certificate
• Knowledge of water hydraulics, including piping/hose hook-up and layout

This position would suit a self-motivated individual who is willing to work mainly outdoors in challenging weather conditions, where no two days are the same. Problem solving skills are required to overcome arising situations and resolve them in a safe and practical manner.

The role will be based at the Company’s Lithium in Geothermal Waters Plant, United Road, Redruth, Cornwall, TR16 5HY. Annual leave comprises 25 days’ holiday per year pro rata, plus UK Bank Holidays. The closing date for applications is 31st January 2026.
