Job Responsibilities

The Line Cook I is responsible for the precision and consistency of their assigned station:

  • High-Standard Preparation: Preparing ingredients, portioning, chopping, and storing food according to strict recipes and quality standards.

  • Gold Standard Cooking: Executing the preparation and cooking of all types of food items (hot or cold) while ensuring flawless presentation and garnish.

  • Station Management: Setting up and breaking down work stations; regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and roasters for optimal results.

  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining a “sanitized and orderly” workspace; strictly adhering to HACCP and local health department regulations.

  • Quality Control: Monitoring the freshness, taste, and temperature of products throughout the shift; informing the Sous Chef of any stock discrepancies or quality issues.

  • Collaborative Service: Working as a cohesive team member to ensure timely service during high-occupancy periods and special events.

Candidate Requirements
