Core Responsibilities

• Guest Welcoming: Greet guests in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner, acting as the initial ambassador for The Wilde on 27.

• Seating & Flow: Direct guests to appropriate tables, manage reservations, and oversee table turnover to maximize restaurant efficiency.

• Station Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and stock of host stations, ensuring all necessary equipment (silverware, linen, condiments) is ready for every meal period.

• Sanitation & Safety: Uphold high health and safety standards by performing general cleaning tasks and managing unexpected spills or maintenance needs.

• Team Collaboration: Work in a unified way with servers and management to foster teamwork and ensure total guest satisfaction through cross-training and support.

This landmark development represents Calgary’s first “stacked” dual-brand hotel, combining two distinct Marriott experiences within a single 27-story tower at 525 5th Avenue SW. Opened in July 2022 by the women-owned PBA Group of Companies, the property is a tribute to local entrepreneur Joe Phillips and his favorite literary work, Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. While the two hotels share a building and a “Complex” management team under Concord Hospitality, they operate with separate entrances, lobbies, and brand identities to serve a diverse range of travelers.
